What You Can Do

You can help the 100% recycled paperboard industry in several ways.

Close the Recycling Loop

Recycling is a three-step process and you are responsible for the first and third steps! First, materials must be collected for recycling by businesses and consumers like you. Second, those materials must be used as raw materials to make new products, like 100% recycled paperboard (that's where we come in). Third, those new recycled products must be purchased by businesses and consumers like you, thereby closing the recycling loop.

Separate Paper for Recycling

To find out what types of paper can be recycled in your community, contact your local recycling coordinator (look in the phone book under “Recycling,” “Solid Waste,” or “Public Works”).

To ensure that the paper you recycle stays as clean as possible, please support source-separated recycling collection programs in your community, where paper is collected in a separate bin from other recyclables like glass.

Buy Recycled Paper Products

When you shop for consumer products, look for the 100% Recycled Paperboard symbol.
