1. What is 100% recycled paper and how is it made?

Recycled paper is made from recovered paper that has been diverted from the solid waste stream and later collected, separated, cleaned and recycled for use. These attributes make 100% recycled paperboard a great choice at a great price: overall, a smart choice for business and the environment.

Recycled paper is currently used to package a wide range of goods including dry and frozen foods, pharmaceuticals, health & beauty products, household products, club store packaging, electronic products, ready-to-eat meals, fast food and beverages.

2. What are the industry’s biggest challenges?

The biggest challenges for the 100% recycled paper industry are increasing the quantity of recovered paper available to use in our mills (i.e., the need for more paper recycling) and the quality of recovered paper (i.e., keeping paper collected for recycling clean).
